Last 16th November, the World of Leading Golf Awards 2016 took place at San Gual Golf Club, Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The international organization selects the most renowned golf clubs in almost 20 European countries based on strict quality requirements, and obtaining one of their prizes is therefore a great achievement, as claimed by WLG CEO Claus Feldt during the prize giving ceremony.
At the gala evening, six golf clubs were awarded, among them Royal Park I Roveri for best Italian course, designed by such illustrious architects as Robert Trent Jones, Michael Hurdzdan and Dana Fry. The golf club was also awarded the 2nd prize for best culinary offering and ranked 12th in the general top-list of WLG European courses.
These honorable achievements follow the important result obtained last year at the same event, when Royal Park I Roveri Golf Club was awarded the most prestigious prize, best overall impression, for the quality of the courses and services offered and the beauty of the setting, an ancient hunting area belonging to the Savoy Royal Family at the heart of La Mandria Regional Park, with the Alps in the background.
