ROYAL PARK I ROVERI

The 18-hole course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.  in 1971 features bunkers, hazards and green preserving the charming natural landscape. Against a backdrop of stunning mountain scenery, the player confronts the first of many water ditches and small lakes, instrumental in making this a challenging but fair test of golf. The natural setting with crossing torrents and the possibility of close encounters with the protected wildlife of the park make the golf experience even more extraordinary.

The new 18 - hole Pramerica course is the first one designed by the American architects Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry in Europe. It represents a successful example of joining golf and nature into a unique landscape. The design intent was not to match the more mature Jones Sr. Course, but rather to complement it through a relatively flat open course where the constructed ponds and bunkering are used as principle hazards.

DRIVING RANGE

The driving range, 280 mt. long and 100 mt. wide, has 30 synthetic grass positions and several covered positions, two of them with front mirrors equipped. It also offers a natural grass practice area on three levels with 100 mt wide markers and a pitch and put area with bunlers, two green targets and a useful lenght sign system. The putting green boasts 36 holes.

DRIVING RANGE

Double tee that allows more than one person to practice at the same time. Every tee boasts 50 bays for practicing off grass. The southern part of the driving range is usually reserved for the Youth Club. The Academy has all the new technology necessary to carry out swing and putt analysis.

In comprises 80,000 square meters of floor surface in the Reggia and 60 hectares of Gardens, adjacent to the 17th century ancient village of Venaria and the 3,000 fenced hectares of the Park of La Mandria. It is a natural and architectural masterpiece that was declared part of the World Heritage by UNESCO in 1997.
